Gibson SG Standard 2023 Electric Guitar (Pre-Owned) – Heritage Cherry

The Gibson SG Standard is one of rock music’s most recognisable electric guitars, combining its lightweight double-cutaway mahogany body with effortless upper-fret access and the powerful, mid-focused sound that has made the SG a stage and studio favourite for generations.

Made in the USA in 2023 and finished in classic Heritage Cherry, this SG Standard has the late-1960s-inspired appearance of the current model, including a full-face black pickguard, bound rosewood fingerboard and acrylic trapezoid inlays. Its rounded mahogany neck feels substantial without being cumbersome, while the 24.75-inch scale length and medium-jumbo frets make bends and vibrato comfortable.

A pair of Gibson 490R and 490T Alnico II humbuckers delivers everything from warm, rounded neck-pickup tones to the bite and drive expected from a great SG. It is an exceptionally versatile combination that works particularly well for blues, classic rock and hard rock, while retaining enough clarity for cleaner styles.
