Fender Japan ST-62 Stratocaster 1994 Electric Guitar (Pre-Owned) – Vintage White

Fender Japan ST-62DGF ’62 Stratocaster 1994 – Vintage White – Pre-Owned

A great example of a highly regarded 1990s Fender Japan Stratocaster, this pre-owned ST-62DGF captures the look and feel of an early-’60s Strat and comes from the sought-after FujiGen-era of Japanese Fender production.

Finished in aged Vintage White with a rosewood fingerboard, small pre-CBS-style headstock and three-ply scratchplate, it has a wonderfully classic appearance. The vintage-style six-screw tremolo, traditional tuners and comfortable ’60s-inspired neck specification give it the familiar feel and character that have made Japanese Fender Strats so popular with players and collectors.

The guitar retains its original Japanese single-coil pickups and delivers the clear, articulate tones expected from a traditional Stratocaster, from warm neck sounds through to bright bridge tones and the familiar in-between positions. The previous owner has fitted replacement pickup covers, control knobs and switch tip, along with a useful push-pull modification on the bridge tone control. Pulling the control brings the neck pickup into circuit when using the bridge pickup, or vice versa, allowing additional bridge-and-neck and three-pickup combinations alongside the standard five-way switching.

Condition:

Condition is very good for a guitar of this age. There is a small chip on the back, a small dent on the side and a few light scuffs and marks here and there, all consistent with normal use over the past 30 years. There is also a small stress crack around the bass side of the neck pocket. The frets remain in excellent condition with very little visible wear.

The guitar otherwise appears to retain its original hardware and electronics and has been fully checked, cleaned and set up by ourselves with a fresh set of Rotosound R9 9-42 Strings.

Supplied with a hard case.

Please note: this is a pre-owned instrument and as such may have signs of wear and tear. We have tried to capture any damage in the photos provided so please study them carefully before placing an order. If you would like any additional photos then please get in touch.
