Ernie Ball Mute Noodle – Bass

Bridge Muting For Bass

The Ernie Ball Mute Noodle for Bass is made for players who want a more controlled muted bass response without permanently changing the instrument. It sits between the strings at the bridge and is intended to emulate the warm, intimate character of a rubber bridge, making it useful for recording, retro-style bass lines, lo-fi textures and softer supportive parts.

Quick To Use When You Need It

The appeal of the Mute Noodle is its simplicity. You can add it when you want a damped, rounded sound and remove it when you need the bass to ring more openly. Ernie Ball describes the wider dampener range as soft, durable rubber designed to fit most instruments, although the fit should still be checked against the exact bass model.

Small Accessory, Useful Sound Change

For bassists who want extra control without relying on foam, tape or permanent changes, this is a tidy option to keep in the case. It fits naturally with other [guitar accessories], [instrument cables], [guitar stands] and [guitar care] items that help keep your setup practical and gig-ready.
